Things To Do In Pembrokeshire

What’s On Near Lamphey Court Hotel This April

If you're planning a spring stay at Lamphey Court Hotel, there's no shortage of things happening around Pembrokeshire this April. From Easter trails to live music and a bit of medieval fun, here’s what you can look forward to nearby - perfect for planning a day out during your visit.

Just up the road, both Llys Y Fran Lake and Carew Castle are running Easter egg trails from the 5th to the 27th of April. Llys Y Fran’s trail winds through the lakeside paths and is a great way to stretch your legs while the kids hunt for treats. Carew’s version adds a little extra charm, set among the castle grounds with views that are hard to beat.

If you’re feeling brave, Llys Y Fran is also hosting the Arctic Flappers Nippy Dippers Cold Water Dip on the 5th of April. A very chilly but invigorating experience for anyone who loves a challenge (and a great story to tell afterwards).

On the 11th of April, head to Mwldan in Cardigan for some classic Welsh wrestling – loud, lively, and full of fun for the whole family. And on the 12th, Scolton Manor is putting on an Easter Eggstravaganza, perfect for younger children with plenty of activities to keep them busy.

From the 15th to the 27th, Castell Henllys Iron Age Village is hosting themed days and hands-on experiences, giving you a chance to step back in time and see what life was like in Pembrokeshire over 2,000 years ago. Always a hit with kids and history lovers alike.

If you’re more into books and imagination, Cardigan Castle is hosting a special day inspired by Roald Dahl on the 16th of April. Expect interactive activities and storytelling in a magical setting.

Live music fans are in for a treat later in the month. On the 19th, Old Time Sailors are performing at Serenity Garden in Tenby with doors opening at 7pm - expect plenty of singalong shanties. Then on the 20th, there’s a double tribute show to Foo Fighters and Nirvana at De Valence Pavilion, followed by Turin Brakes and John Bramwell at the same venue on the 25th. Both events start around 7pm and are perfect for a relaxed evening with great music.

And finally, if you're looking to unwind in a more mindful way, World Tai Chi and Qigong Day is being celebrated at Lamphey Bishop’s Palace on the 26th of April, starting at 9:45am. It’s a beautiful setting to take part in something calming and restorative.

We’ll be sharing updates throughout the month, so keep an eye out - and if you’re booking a stay at Lamphey Court Hotel, feel free to ask our team for help planning your days out. There’s a little something for everyone this April!
